NOTRE DANSE (OUR DANCE) is a project for 7 performers (dancers and musicians).
In Notre danse, we want to return to the place where dance comes from, to observe the power of dance when it is practiced as an essential, necessary gesture.
We perform the movements, sounds, acts, absolutely inseparable from each individual within the group that we constitute. We are searching for an atavistic dance that derives from a very common background. We create our own “prehistorical dance”. Notre danse is the “sweat lodge” for our unconscious. We make up our own tools (telepathy, hypnosis, trance, improvisation…) to establish a dialogue between the present time and ancient dances and tales. We build up a civilization, create a collective, uncanny, unique language : a score for a choral, ritualistic dance made of our inner jingles, our fictions and our essential needs. The performance relies on improvisation protocoles for the dance, singing, music, lighting.
